1. Locate the automatic tensioner. It is usually located on the front of the engine, near the top.
2. Loosen the tensioner pulley bolt. This bolt holds the tensioner pulley in place.
3. Remove the tensioner pulley. Once the bolt is loosened, you can remove the tensioner pulley by pulling it straight off of the shaft.
4. Install the new tensioner pulley. Slide the new tensioner pulley onto the shaft and tighten the bolt.
5. Test the tensioner pulley. Start the engine and check to make sure that the tensioner pulley is working properly.
Here are some additional tips for removing the just pulley on an automatic tensioner:
* Be careful not to drop the tensioner pulley. It is a small part and can be easily lost.
* If the tensioner pulley is stuck, you can try using a pry bar to gently pry it off of the shaft.
* Be sure to tighten the tensioner pulley bolt securely. If the bolt is not tight enough, the tensioner pulley could come off of the shaft while the engine is running, causing damage to the engine.
