1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Apply the parking brake.
3. Locate the parking brake cable under the vehicle. It is connected to the rear wheels.
4. Loosen the locknut on the parking brake cable.
5. Turn the adjusting nut on the parking brake cable until the parking brake lever has 4-5 clicks when you engage it.
6. Tighten the locknut.
7. Test the parking brake by releasing the lever and making sure that the vehicle does not roll.
Note: If you are unable to adjust the parking brake yourself, you can take your vehicle to a mechanic to have it done.
