What is causing a Rattling noise in the front of car on drivers side when I hit brakes?

Loose or worn brake pads or rotors: Worn or loose brake pads or rotors can cause a rattling or squealing noise, particularly when braking. Ensure that the brake pads have enough material left and that the rotors are not warped or damaged.

Worn out or damaged control arm bushings: Worn out control arm bushings can cause the control arm to move excessively when you apply the brakes. This can produce a rattling or clunking sound.

Loose or damaged sway bar links: Sway bar links connect the sway bar to the suspension. If the sway bar links are loose or damaged, it can produce a rattling or clunking noise when you hit the brakes.

Faulty brake caliper: A malfunctioning brake caliper can also cause a rattling or grinding noise.

Worn out or damaged wheel bearing: Worn out wheel bearings can cause a variety of noises, including a rattling or growling sound. If the noise gets worse as you turn the steering wheel, it could indicate a problem with the wheel bearing.

Loose brake hardware: The bolts and nuts that hold the brake system in place can become loose over time, particularly if they're not tightened properly after a brake service. Loose brake hardware can rattle when you apply the brakes.
