- Flat-head screwdriver

- New window motor

Instructions:
1. Disconnect the Battery:
Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid any electrical accidents during the repair.
2. Remove the Door Panel:
- Insert the flat-head screwdriver into the slot at the bottom of the door panel, near the kick panel.
- Pry up the panel carefully to unclip the fasteners holding it in place.
- Continue removing the fasteners around the edges of the panel until it comes off.
- Be careful not to break the clips.
3. Remove the Water Barrier:
- Once the door panel is removed, you'll see a water barrier attached to the metal door frame.
- Remove any screws or fasteners securing the water barrier.
- Gently peel back the water barrier to expose the window motor.
4. Disconnect Electrical Connectors:
- Locate the electrical connectors attached to the window motor.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver to gently pry up the locking tabs on the connectors and detach them from the motor.
5. Remove the Old Motor:
- Now, locate the three T20 Torx screws holding the window motor in place.
- Use the T20 Torx screwdriver to remove these screws.
- Once the screws are removed, gently lift the motor out of its housing.
6. Solder the New Motor:
- If the new window motor comes with a different wiring harness connector, you will need to solder the wires together.
- Cut off the old wiring harness connector and use the small pry tool to remove any remaining pieces from the motor.
- Twist the matching wires together and solder them.
7. Install the New Motor:
- Place the new window motor into the housing and secure it with the T20 Torx screws you removed earlier.
- Tighten the screws securely.
8. Reconnect the Electrical Connectors:
- Reconnect the electrical connectors that you detached from the old motor to the new motor.
- Make sure the connections are secure.
9. Reinstall the Water Barrier:
- Reposition the water barrier into its original position and secure it with any screws you might have removed earlier.
- Press the water barrier firmly in place to ensure a good seal.
10. Reinstall the Door Panel:
- Start by aligning the door panel with the door frame and the glass.
- Press firmly around the edges of the door panel to snap the retaining clips into place.
11. Reconnect the Battery:
- Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
- Test the power window by operating the switch to ensure the new motor is working correctly.
12. Clean Up:
- Clean up any tools and materials you used during the repair.
Your Buick LeSabre's right rear window motor should now be successfully replaced.
