How do you change a windshield washer pump on 2000 Pontiac grand prix?

Tools and Materials Needed:

- Replacement Windshield Washer Pump

- Phillips Head Screwdriver

- Flat Head Screwdriver

- Pliers

- Funnel

- New Washer Fluid

Instructions:

1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down if it has been running.

2. Locate the windshield washer fluid reservoir. It is usually located on the passenger side of the engine bay.

3. Remove the cover of the windshield washer fluid reservoir. Some covers are held in place by screws, while others are simply clipped on.

4. Use a funnel to add new washer fluid to the reservoir. Be careful not to overfill the reservoir.

5. Locate the windshield washer pump. It is usually located near the bottom of the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the windshield washer pump. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry open the locking tab on the connector.

7. Use pliers to loosen the hose clamp that connects the windshield washer hose to the pump.

8. Pull the hose off the pump.

9. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the pump in place.

10. Lift the pump out of the reservoir. Be careful not to spill any washer fluid.

11. Install the new pump in the reverse order of removal.

12. Test the windshield washer pump by turning on the windshield washers. The pump should spray a stream of washer fluid onto the windshield.
