1. Turn off the engine.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Wait at least 10 seconds.
4. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
5. Start the engine.
This process will reset the computer and clear all stored diagnostic trouble codes. It may also affect other settings, such as the radio presets and clock time.
