1. Disconnect the battery-
- Locate the battery in your Buick Skylark.
- Use a wrench to loosen the negative battery cable and disconnect it from the battery terminal.
2. Remove the door panel
- Locate the screws that hold the door panel in place.
- Remove the screws and carefully pry the door panel off.
- Disconnect any electrical connectors behind the door panel.
3. Remove the window regulator and motor
-Locate the bolts that hold the window regulator and motor assembly in place.
- Remove the bolts and pull out the window regulator and motor assembly.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the motor.
4. Install the new window regulator and motor
- Attach the electrical connector to the new motor.
- Set the window regulator and motor assembly into the door.
- Secure it with the bolts that you removed in step 3.
5. Reinstall the door panel
- Insert the electrical connectors back into their proper place.
- Snap the door panel back into place and reinstall the screws.
6. Reconnect the battery
-Reconnect the negative battery cable to the battery terminal.
- Tighten the bolt to secure the cable.
Test the power window to make sure that it is working properly.
