- Lug wrench
- Jack and jack stands
- Flathead screwdriver
- Pry bar
1. Loosen the lug nuts. Use the lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts on the rear tire. Do not remove the lug nuts completely.
2. Jack up the vehicle. Place the jack under the rear axle and jack up the vehicle until the rear tire is off the ground.
3. Place the jack stands. Position the jack stands under the vehicle frame near the rear axle. Lower the vehicle until it is resting on the jack stands.
4. Remove the lug nuts. Use the lug wrench to remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel.
5. Remove the brake caliper. Use the screwdriver to pry off the dust covers from the brake caliper guide pins. Then, use the wrench to remove the caliper guide pin bolts. Lift the caliper off of the rotor.
6. Pry off the hubcap. Use the screwdriver to pry off the hubcap to expose the lug nuts behind the hubcap.
7. Remove the lug nuts. Use the wrench to remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel hub assembly.
8. Remove the tire from the hub. Pry off the tire bead using the pry bar. Then, lift off the tire from the hub.

- Before you begin, make sure the vehicle is in park and the parking brake is engaged.
- Be careful when working around the brake caliper. Brake fluid is highly corrosive and can cause skin irritation.
- If you do not have a jack and jack stands, you can also use a set of ramps.
