- New headlight assembly
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flathead screwdriver
- 10mm socket wrench
- Extension for socket wrench
- Ratchet
Instructions:
1.) Open the hood of your Mustang and locate the headlight assembly you wish to replace.
2.) Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the headlight assembly in place.
3.) Use a flathead screwdriver to pry up the tabs holding the headlight assembly in place.
4.) Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the headlight assembly.
5.) Remove the old headlight assembly from the vehicle.
6.) Install the new headlight assembly by aligning it with the mounting holes and securing it with the screws.
7.) Reconnect the electrical connector to the back of the headlight assembly.
8.) Test the headlight assembly by turning on the lights and checking that they work properly.
9.) Close the hood of your Mustang and you're done!
Tips:
- Be careful not to drop the screws or other small parts when removing the headlight assembly.
- If you have trouble prying up the tabs, use a pry bar or other tool to help you.
- Make sure that the new headlight assembly is properly aligned before securing it with the screws.
- Test the headlight assembly before closing the hood of your Mustang to make sure that it works properly.
