1. Park the truck on level ground and engage the parking brake.
2. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
3. Safely support and jack up the front of the truck. Do this until you can see underneath.
4. Locate the clutch cable, it should be attached to the clutch fork on one end and the clutch pedal on the other end.
5. Look for the cable adjustment nut, which is usually located near the clutch fork.
6. Using a wrench, turn the adjusting nut to tighten or loosen the clutch cable. Tightening the nut will increase the clutch engagement point, while loosening the nut will decrease the engagement point.
7. Continue adjusting the nut until the clutch pedal has about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of free play at the top of its travel.
8. Once the adjustment is complete, test drive the truck to ensure that the clutch is engaging smoothly and properly.
