Replace front wheel bearings on a 1989 Toyota Corolla?

Tools and Materials:

- Jack and jack stands

- Lug wrench

- Socket set

- Pliers

- Screwdriver

- Grease

- New wheel bearings

Instructions:

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.

2. Loosen the lug nuts on the front wheels, but do not remove them completely.

3. Jack up the front of the vehicle and support it on jack stands.

4. Remove the lug nuts and take off the front wheels.

5. Remove the brake caliper and hang it out of the way with a zip tie.

6. Remove the rotor.

7. Remove the dust cover from the wheel bearing.

8. Use a screwdriver to pry out the old wheel bearing.

9. Clean the bearing bore and apply a thin layer of grease.

10. Press the new wheel bearing into place.

11. Replace the dust cover.

12. Reinstall the rotor, brake caliper, and wheels.

13. Lower the vehicle and remove the jack stands.

14. Tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern.

Tips:

- Make sure to use the correct size bearing for your vehicle.

- Be careful not to damage the bearing bore when removing or installing the bearings.

- Apply grease to the bearings to help them last longer.
