How do you check the grease in a Honda civic manual transmission?

The transmission of the Honda Civic is filled with Honda MTF (Manual Transmission Fluid) instead of grease that is used to lubricate parts in contact, such as wheel bearings.

To check the level of the MTF, follow the steps below:

1. Park your car on a level surface and apply the parking brake.

2. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.

3. Open the hood of your car.

4. Locate the transmission fluid dipstick. On the Honda Civic, it is usually marked with a red or orange cap and is located near the back of the engine bay.

5. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag.

6. Reinsert the dipstick into the transmission fluid fill hole.

7. Pull the dipstick out again and check the fluid level. The fluid level should be between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks on the dipstick.

If the fluid level is low, add the recommended type of transmission fluid through the fill hole.
