* Phillips-head screwdriver
* Replacement brake light bulb (check your vehicle's owner's manual for the correct size)
Instructions
1. Open the trunk of your Lexus.
2. Locate the brake light housing on the side of the trunk. There are two brake light housings, one on each side of the trunk.
3. Remove the screws that hold the brake light housing in place. There are two screws on each housing.
4. Pull the brake light housing straight out of the trunk. Be careful not to drop any of the screws.
5. Remove the old brake light bulb from the housing. Twist the bulb counterclockwise to remove it.
6. Insert the new brake light bulb into the housing. Twist the bulb clockwise until it is secure.
7. Reinstall the brake light housing. Push the housing back into the trunk and insert the screws. Tighten the screws until they are snug.
8. Test the brake lights to make sure they are working. Turn on the headlights and press the brake pedal. The brake lights should come on.
Tips
* If the brake light housing is difficult to remove, you may need to use a flat-head screwdriver to pry it loose.
* Be careful not to touch the new brake light bulb with your hands. The oils on your skin can cause the bulb to overheat and fail.
* If you have any difficulty replacing the brake light bulb, consult a qualified mechanic.
