Tools Needed:
1. Phillips Head Screwdriver
2. Flat Head Screwdriver
3. Pliers
1. Lower the Window:
- Roll down the window on the side of the mirror you wish to remove.
2. Remove the Inner Cover:
- Using a flathead screwdriver, gently pry off the inner cover from around the mirror adjustment switch.
- This will reveal three Phillips head screws.
3. Remove the Screws:
- Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the three screws from inside the door panel.
4. Detach the Mirror:
- With the screws removed, gently pull the side mirror towards you to detach it from the door panel.
5. Disconnect the Wiring:
- Locate the wiring harness attached to the back of the side mirror.
- Use a flat head screwdriver to release the locking tab and carefully disconnect the wires.
6. Unscrew the Mirror Housing:
- Locate the small screw holding the mirror housing in place.
- Unscrew it using a Phillips head screwdriver.
7. Remove the Mirror Glass:
- Once the mirror housing is unscrewed, you can carefully remove the mirror glass by gently prying it out.
- Be cautious as the glass may fall.
8. Disassemble the Mirror Housing:
- With the mirror glass removed, you can proceed to disassemble the mirror housing components if necessary.
9. Reassembly:
- Reassembly involves reversing the disassembly process. Make sure to reconnect the wiring harness and securely fasten all the screws and components.
10. Test the Mirror:
- Once the mirror is reassembled, test its functionality by adjusting it from inside the vehicle and powering it on.
