Tools and Materials Needed:
- Replacement headlight bulb (check owner's manual for specific bulb size)
- Small flat-head screwdriver
- Phillips-head screwdriver
Instructions:
1. Open the Hood:
- Locate the hood release lever inside your Corolla and pull it to release the hood.
- Lift the hood and prop it open using the support rod.
2. Locate the Headlight Bulb:
- The headlight assembly is located behind a plastic cover on the front of the Corolla.
- Remove the plastic cover by unclipping or unscrewing it as necessary.
3. Remove the Old Bulb:
- Once the plastic cover is removed, you will see the headlight bulb.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver to release the spring clip that holds the bulb in place.
- Gently twist and pull the old bulb out of its socket.
4. Insert the New Bulb:
- Take the new headlight bulb and insert it into the socket.
- Turn the bulb clockwise until it locks in place.
5. Replace the Clip:
- Use a flat-head screwdriver to fasten the spring clip that holds the new bulb in place.
- Make sure the clip is securely fastened to prevent the bulb from coming loose.
6. Replace the Plastic Cover:
- Reinstall the plastic cover over the headlight assembly.
- Clip or screw it back into place as necessary.
7. Test the Headlight:
- Close the hood and turn on the headlights.
- Verify that the new bulb is working properly.
