How do you replace the brake light bulb on a 2000 Mazda Protege?

To replace the brake light bulb on a 2000 Mazda Protege, follow these steps:

1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine.

2. Open the trunk of your car.

3. Locate the taillight assembly. It is located on the side of the trunk, near the rear of the car.

4. Remove the taillight assembly. There are two screws that hold the taillight assembly in place. Remove these screws and then gently pull the taillight assembly out of the car.

5. Remove the old brake light bulb. Twist the bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the socket.

6. Insert the new brake light bulb. Push the new bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise to secure it.

7. Reinstall the taillight assembly. Slide the taillight assembly back into place and secure it with the two screws.

8. Test the brake lights. Turn on the headlights and press the brake pedal. The brake lights should come on.
