1. Locate the Battery:
- Open the hood of your Eclipse 95.
- Find the battery, which is usually located in the front of the engine compartment. It has two terminals, positive (+) and negative (-).
2. Disconnect the Negative Terminal:
- Identify the negative terminal. It is usually marked with a minus (-) sign and is black in color.
- Loosen the nut or bolt that secures the negative terminal cable to the terminal using a wrench.
- Remove the cable from the terminal and make sure it does not come into contact with anything metal. This will disconnect the power supply to the computer.
3. Wait for 30 Seconds:
- Leave the negative terminal disconnected for at least 30 seconds. This will give the computer enough time to lose its memory and reset.
4. Reconnect the Negative Terminal:
- After 30 seconds, reconnect the negative terminal cable to the negative terminal. Tighten the nut or bolt to secure the cable.
5. Close the Hood:
- Close the hood of your Eclipse 95.
By disconnecting and reconnecting the negative battery terminal, you have successfully reset the computer in your Mitsubishi Eclipse 95 to its factory default settings. You may need to reset the clock and radio stations as part of the process
