1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Raise the front of the vehicle using a jack and support it on jack stands.
3. Locate the driveshaft boot that needs to be replaced. It is usually located near the center of the driveshaft, where it connects to the transmission and differential.
4. Remove the bolts that hold the driveshaft boot in place. There may be two or more bolts, depending on the model.
5. Carefully pry the old driveshaft boot off the driveshaft. Be careful not to damage the driveshaft or surrounding components.
6. Clean the driveshaft and the area around the boot mating surface to remove any dirt or debris.
7. Install the new driveshaft boot by sliding it over the driveshaft and aligning it with the mating surface.
8. Secure the new driveshaft boot in place by reinstalling the bolts that were removed in step 4. Tighten the bolts securely.
9. Lower the vehicle from the jack stands and remove the jack.
10. Double check the installation of the new boot and make sure its properly seated and secure.
Before driving the vehicle, make sure to check the transmission fluid level and add or adjust it if necessary. Test drive the vehicle and listen for any unusual noises or vibrations to ensure that the driveshaft boot was properly installed.
