How do you adjust the gear shift on a daewoo espero it wont select reverse after rear engine mount broke and i have already replaced both mounts?

1. Locate the gear shift linkage. The gear shift linkage is a series of rods and levers that connect the gear shift knob to the transmission. On the Daewoo Espero, the gear shift linkage is located under the car, near the front of the transmission.

2. Loosen the locknuts on the gear shift linkage. There are two locknuts on the gear shift linkage, one at each end. Use a wrench to loosen the locknuts until they are just loose enough to turn by hand.

3. Turn the adjusting nut on the gear shift linkage. The adjusting nut is located in the middle of the gear shift linkage. Use a wrench to turn the adjusting nut until the gear shift knob is in the correct position.

4. Tighten the locknuts on the gear shift linkage. Tighten the locknuts until they are snug.

5. Test the gear shift. Shift the gear shift knob through all of the gears, including reverse. Make sure that the gear shift knob goes into each gear smoothly and without any grinding noises.

If the gear shift still does not select reverse after you have adjusted the gear shift linkage, you may need to replace the transmission mount.
