How do you change rear rotors on a Nissan Murano?

Tools Needed:

- Lug wrench

- Jack and jack stands

- Socket wrench set

- Phillips-head screwdriver

- Flat-head screwdriver

- Brake cleaner

- Brake fluid

- New rotors

- New brake pads (optional)

Instructions:

1. Park your Nissan Murano on a level surface and engage the parking brake.

2. Loosen the lug nuts on the rear wheels. Do not remove them completely.

3. Jack up the rear of your Murano and place jack stands under the frame. Make sure the vehicle is stable before proceeding.

4. Remove the lug nuts and take off the wheels.

5. Locate the brake caliper and remove the two bolts that hold it in place.

6. Carefully remove the brake caliper and set it aside. Be careful not to damage the brake line.

7. Remove the old rotors from the wheel hub.

8. Clean the wheel hub and the new rotors with brake cleaner.

9. Apply a thin coat of brake grease to the hub of the new rotors.

10. Install the new rotors onto the wheel hub.

11. Reinstall the brake caliper and secure it with the bolts you removed earlier.

12. Reinstall the wheels and lug nuts. Do not tighten the lug nuts completely yet.

13. Lower the Murano from the jack stands.

14. Tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern until they are snug.

15. Take your Murano for a test drive and check to make sure the brakes are working properly.

Here are some additional tips:

- If your Murano has electronic parking brakes, you may need to disable them before you can remove the rear rotors. Refer to your owner's manual for instructions.

- Be careful not to damage the brake line or the brake caliper.

- If you are not comfortable changing rotors yourself, you can take your Murano to a qualified mechanic.
