- Lug wrench
- Jack and jack stands

- New brake rotors
- New brake pads (optional)
Instructions:
1. Park your truck on a level surface and engage the parking brake. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down completely.
2. Loosen the lug nuts on the wheels that you will be working on. Do not remove the lug nuts completely.
3. Jack up the truck and secure it on jack stands. Make sure that the jack stands are placed on a solid surface and that they are stable.
4. Remove the lug nuts and take off the wheels.
5. Remove the brake caliper mounting bolts. There are two bolts on each caliper.
6. Gently pry the brake caliper off of the rotor. Be careful not to damage the brake pads or the caliper piston.
7. Remove the old brake rotor. There may be a retaining clip that holds the rotor in place. Use a screwdriver or pliers to remove the clip.
8. Clean the brake hub and the mating surface of the new rotor. Use a wire brush and brake cleaner to remove any dirt, rust, or debris.
9. Install the new brake rotor. Make sure that the rotor is seated properly on the hub.
10. Reinstall the brake caliper. Secure the caliper with the mounting bolts.
11. Reinstall the wheels and lug nuts. Tighten the lug nuts until they are snug.
12. Lower the truck off of the jack stands.
13. Test the brakes. Pump the brake pedal several times until you feel firm resistance.
Tips:
* If the brake rotors are significantly worn, you may also need to replace the brake pads.
* Be careful not to get brake fluid on the paint of your truck. Brake fluid can damage paint.
* If you are uncomfortable performing this task, you can take your truck to a mechanic to have the brake rotors replaced.
