Step 1: Park your car in a safe and well-lit area.
Ensure the parking brake is engaged and the engine is turned off.
Step 2: Open the hood of your car.
Locate the hood release lever inside your vehicle and pull it to release the hood. Go to the front of your car and lift the hood.
Step 3: Locate the headlight assembly.
The headlight assembly is located behind the plastic cover on the front of your car.
Step 4: Remove the plastic cover.
To remove the plastic cover, there are two screws that need to be removed. The two screws are located at the top corner of the plastic cover and are easily removed with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Once the screws are removed, you can pull the plastic cover off.
Step 5: Remove the old bulb.
The old bulb is held in place by a metal clip. To remove the clip, use a flat-head screwdriver to pry it open. Once the clip is removed, you can pull the old bulb out of its socket.
Step 6: Install the new bulb.
To install the new bulb, simply insert it into the socket and push it until it clicks into place. Make sure the bulb is securely seated in the socket.
Step 7: Replace the metal clip.
Replace the metal clip that holds the bulb in place.
Step 8: Replace the plastic cover.
Replace the plastic cover and tighten the two screws that hold it in place.
Step 9: Close the hood of your car.
Close the hood of your car and you're done!
Tips:
- If the bulb does not work after you have installed it, check to make sure that it is properly seated in the socket.
- If the bulb still does not work, you may need to replace the fuse. The fuse for the headlights is located in the fuse box under the hood of your car.
