- A flat-head screwdriver
- A Phillips-head screwdriver
- A pair of pliers
Procedure
1. Insert the flat-head screwdriver into the slot on the bottom of the steering column cover and pry it off.
2. Remove the two Phillips-head screws that hold the ignition switch in place.
3. Pull the ignition switch out of the steering column, unplug its electrical connector, and set it aside.
4. Insert the flat-head screwdriver into the slot on the top of the lock cylinder and pry it out of the steering column.
5. Use the pliers to remove the C-clip that holds the lock cylinder in place.
6. Pull the lock cylinder out of the steering column and set it aside.
Installation
To install the new lock cylinder, simply reverse the steps above.
Note: If you are having difficulty removing the lock cylinder, you may need to use a penetrating lubricant to loosen it up.
