1. Locate the vehicle’s OBD II port. This port is usually found under the dashboard on the driver’s side.
2. Insert a suitable paper clip or wire into the OBD II port. The port has several small holes, but there are only three that are arranged together in one row. Insert the paperclip or wire into one of these three holes.
3. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine.
4. Wait for at least 60 seconds with the key in the “ON” position.
5. Turn the ignition key back to the “OFF” position.
6. Remove the paper clip or wire from the OBD II port.
7. Start the engine.
8. The vehicle’s security system should now be reset.
Please note that this process may not work on all Toyota models, and it’s always best to refer to the vehicle’s owner’s manual for specific instructions on resetting the security system. If the security system is not reset, you may need to contact a professional locksmith or automotive technician for assistance.
