How do you remove the starter on a 98 Nissan Sentra?

Tools Needed:

- 10mm socket wrench

- 12mm socket wrench

- Breaker bar

- Extensions

- Ratchet

- Jack

- Jack stands

- Screwdriver

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the battery. This is done by loosening the negative terminal (black wire) and then the positive terminal (red wire).

2. Jack up the car and secure it with jack stands.

3. Locate the starter. It is located on the driver's side of the engine, near the bottom.

4. Disconnect the wiring from the starter by removing the bolts that hold the wires in place.

5. Remove the starter bolts. There are two bolts that hold the starter to the engine block.

6. Use a breaker bar to loosen the bolts if they are tight.

7. Once the bolts are removed, you can remove the starter from the engine.

8. Inspect the starter for damage and replace it if necessary.

9. Reinstall the starter in reverse order of removal.

Be sure to reconnect the battery and clean the terminals when finished.
