How do you replace the egr valve on a 1999 Acura 3.0 cl?

Tools and Materials Needed:

- New EGR valve

- 10mm wrench

- 12mm wrench

- Flathead screwdriver

- Gasket scraper

Instructions:

1. Locate the EGR valve. On the 1999 Acura 3.0 CL it is located on the rear of the engine, near the top. It is a small, cylindrical-shaped part with two vacuum hoses connected to it.

2. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the EGR valve. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry off the vacuum hoses. Be careful not to damage the vacuum hoses.

3. Remove the two 12mm bolts that hold the EGR valve in place.

4. Use the gasket scraper to remove the old EGR valve gasket from the mating surface. Be careful not to damage the mating surface.

5. Install the new EGR valve gasket onto the mating surface.

6. Install the new EGR valve and secure it with the two 12mm bolts.

7. Reinstall the vacuum hoses and tighten the hose clamps.

8. Start the car. There may be a slight tapping noise from the EGR valve. This is normal and should go away after a few minutes.

Tips:

- If you are not comfortable working on cars, you can have the EGR valve replaced by a qualified mechanic.

- It is important to replace the EGR valve gasket when you replace the EGR valve. This will help ensure a good seal and prevent leaks.

- The EGR valve is an important part of your car's emissions control system. It helps to reduce harmful emissions by recirculating exhaust gases back into the engine.
