Before you begin:
- Park your car on a level surface.
- Make sure the ignition is turned off and that the parking brake engaged.
- Allow the headlamps to cool if they have been on.
Tools and materials:
- Replacement headlamp
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool
Instructions:
1. Open the hood of your vehicle.
2. Locate the headlight assembly.
3. Remove the three Phillips-head screws holding the back cover of the headlight assembly in place.
4. Remove the cover by pulling it towards you.
5. Locate the bulb you wish to replace and disconnect the power connector on the back of the bulb by depressing the locking tab and pulling the connector straight out.
6. Remove the bulb by gently turning the bulb counterclockwise.
7. Insert the new bulb by turning it clockwise until it is tight.
8. Reconnect the power connector.
9. Replace the headlight cover and secure it with the three screws.
10. Repeat the process for the other headlight if necessary.
11. Close the hood and dispose of the old bulbs properly.
