How do you change the rotors on an 1995 Honda Accord?

Tools Needed:

- Lug wrench

- Jack and jack stands

- Socket wrench set

- Flat-head screwdriver

- Caliper grease

Instructions:

1. Park your car on a level surface and engage the parking brake.

2. Loosen the lug nuts on the wheels that you will be changing the rotors on. Do not remove the lug nuts completely at this point.

3. Jack up the car and secure it on jack stands. Make sure that the jack stands are placed on solid ground and that the car is stable before you proceed.

4. Remove the lug nuts and wheels.

5. Remove the brake caliper. There are two bolts that hold the caliper in place. Once you have removed the bolts, you can slide the caliper off of the rotor.

6. Remove the old rotor. There is one bolt that holds the rotor in place. Once you have removed the bolt, you can pull the rotor off of the hub.

7. Clean the hub and the new rotor. Use a wire brush to clean off any rust or dirt from the hub and the new rotor.

8. Apply caliper grease to the hub. This will help to prevent the rotor from rusting and will also make it easier to remove the rotor in the future.

9. Install the new rotor. Slide the new rotor onto the hub and secure it with the bolt.

10. Reinstall the brake caliper. Slide the caliper back onto the rotor and secure it with the bolts.

11. Reinstall the wheels and lug nuts. Tighten the lug nuts until they are snug.

12. Lower the car off of the jack stands.

13. Test the brakes. Drive the car around and brake several times to make sure that the brakes are working properly.

Tips:

- If you are not comfortable changing your own rotors, you can take your car to a mechanic to have it done.

- Be careful not to drop the caliper or the rotor on your foot.

- If you have any questions about changing your rotors, refer to a repair manual or consult with a mechanic.
