1. Park your car in a safe and well-lit area, turn off the engine, and engage the parking brake.
2. Open the hood of your vehicle and locate the headlight assembly you want to replace. The headlights are located in the front of the car, on either side of the grille.
3. Remove the headlight bulb retainer (or ring). It may be a twist-on or spring-loaded type. On Cressidas, it is usually twisted about a quarter-turn counter-clockwise, then pulled out.
4. Gently remove the old headlight bulb from the housing. Be careful not to drop it. If there's a dust cover on the rear of the headlight housing, remove that too; it may simply be clipped in.
5. Install the new headlight bulb. Make sure to insert it properly and securely, aligning it with the socket. If the bulb is loose or not properly connected, it may not work or could cause damage.
6. Replace the headlight bulb retainer or cover, and make sure it is secure.
7. Close the hood and turn on the headlights to make sure they are working properly.
