Disconnect the battery
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. This will help to ensure that you don't accidentally short out the electrical system while you are working on the wiper arm.
Remove the wiper blade
2. Remove the wiper blade by lifting it up and off the wiper arm.
Remove the wiper arm nut
3. Use a 13mm wrench to remove the wiper arm nut. This nut is located at the base of the wiper arm.
Remove the wiper arm
4. Once the wiper arm nut is removed, you can remove the wiper arm by pulling it straight up and off the wiper pivot shaft.
Be careful not to drop the wiper arm
5. Be careful not to drop the wiper arm when you remove it. The wiper arm is spring-loaded, and it can snap back up if you are not careful.
Reinstall the wiper arm
6. To reinstall the wiper arm, simply reverse the steps that you took to remove it. Be sure to tighten the wiper arm nut snugly.
Reconnect the battery
7. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
