1. Locate the OBD II port. This is usually located under the dashboard, on the driver's side. It is a small, rectangular port with 16 pins.
2. Connect an OBD II scanner to the port. You can purchase an OBD II scanner online or at an auto parts store.
3. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position. Do not start the engine.
4. Select the "Service Engine Light" option on the scanner.
5. Follow the prompts on the scanner to reset the service engine light.
6. Turn off the ignition key and disconnect the scanner.
The service engine light should now be reset. If the light comes back on, there may be a problem with your vehicle's emissions system. You should have the vehicle diagnosed by a qualified mechanic.
