1. Park your vehicle on a level surface. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down. Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
2. Open the hood of your minivan. Locate the brake fluid reservoir. It is usually a clear or translucent plastic container with a black cap, and is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the master cylinder.
3. Remove the cap from the brake fluid reservoir. Be careful not to spill any brake fluid, as it can damage paint and other surfaces.
4. Check the brake fluid level. The fluid level should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the side of the reservoir. If the fluid level is low, you will need to add some brake fluid.
5. Add brake fluid to the reservoir. Use only DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid, as specified in your owner's manual. Do not overfill the reservoir; the fluid level should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks.
6. Replace the cap on the brake fluid reservoir. Tighten the cap securely.
7. Test the brakes to ensure they are working properly. Press the brake pedal several times and check for any leaks. If there are any leaks, you should have them repaired immediately.
