Park your vehicle in a safe location, apply the parking brake and turn off the engine.
Open the trunk.
Locate the plastic housing that contains the third brake light.
Gently pry open the housing using a flat-head screwdriver.
Locate the bulb socket and turn it counterclockwise to remove it from the housing.
Remove the old bulb from the socket.
Insert a new bulb into the socket and turn the socket clockwise to secure it in place.
Replace the plastic housing by aligning the tabs on the housing with the slots on the trunk and pressing firmly until it snaps into place.
Test the brake lights to ensure the new bulb is working properly before closing the trunk.
