How do you change oil filter on Peugeot 207 hdi?

Tools and Materials:

1. New Oil Filter (Check owner's manual for specific model)

2. Oil Filter Wrench (or Adjustable wrench)

3. Oil Drain Pan

4. Funnel

5. New Engine Oil (Check owner's manual for recommended type and quantity)

6. Gloves

7. Rags

8. Jack and Jack Stands (optional, but recommended for easier access)

Procedure:

1. Park your Peugeot 207 HDi on a level surface and ensure that the engine is turned off.

2. Engage the parking brake.

3. If you can't crawl under the car, raise it using a jack and place it on jack stands. This will give you better access to the oil filter.

4. Locate the oil filter. On the 207 HDi, it is usually situated near the top of the engine, on the passenger side. It is a cylindrical-shaped object with a black cap.

5. Place the oil drain pan beneath the oil filter to catch any dripping oil.

6. Use the oil filter wrench or an adjustable wrench to loosen and remove the oil filter cap. Be careful, as some oil may spill out when you remove the cap.

7. Remove the old oil filter from the housing by turning it counterclockwise.

8. Apply a thin coat of new engine oil to the gasket of the new oil filter. This will help create a seal and prevent leaks.

9. Screw on the new oil filter until it is snug. Do not overtighten it, as this can damage the filter or the housing.

10. Clean up any spilled oil with a rag.

11. Refill the engine with the recommended amount of new engine oil, using the funnel.

12. Check the oil level on the dipstick to ensure that it is filled to the proper level.

13. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks around the oil filter. If there are no leaks, turn off the engine and lower the car from the jack stands if necessary.
