Open the Hood:
Release the hood release lever inside the car.
Go to the front of your car and lift up on the hood.
Prop it up with the hood support rod.
Remove the Front Undercover Panel:
Locate the front undercover panel beneath the bumper.
There are usually several plastic push pins holding it in place.
Gently pry these pins out using a flat-head screwdriver or trim removal tool.
Once all the pins are removed, you can pull the panel down to release it.
Locate the Headlight Assembly:
Behind the front undercover panel, you'll see the headlight assembly.
It is secured by several bolts and screws.
1. Remove the Upper Bolts:
Using a T20 Torx screwdriver, remove the upper bolts that secure the headlight assembly.
2. Remove the Lower Screw:
Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the lower screw located at the bottom of the headlight assembly.
3. Remove the Bumper Bracket Bolt:
Use a 10mm socket wrench with an extension to remove the bumper bracket bolt.
This bolt helps to stabilize the headlight assembly from inside the wheel arch.
Disconnect Electrical Connectors:
Locate the electrical connectors attached to the headlight assembly.
Press the locking tabs and unplug the connectors carefully.
Note: There may be two connectors—one for the headlight and one for the turn signal.
Remove the Headlight Assembly:
Once the bolts, screws, and connectors are removed, you can take out the headlight assembly gently by pulling it forward.
Install the Replacement Headlight:
Put the new headlight assembly in place.
Reconnect the electrical connectors properly.
Secure the headlight assembly by reinstalling the upper bolts, lower screw, and bumper bracket bolt.
Test the Headlights:
Turn on your headlights and make sure they are functioning correctly.
Adjust the headlight aim if necessary.
Replace the Front Undercover Panel:
Align the front undercover panel and snap the push pins back into place.
Close the Hood:
Lower the hood and release the support rod.
Make sure the hood closes securely.
