How do you remove a disk brake rotor on 2005 ford F -150?

Tools Needed:

- Lug wrench

- 15/16" socket wrench

- Hammer

- Flat-headed screwdriver

- Safety glasses

Instructions:

1. Loosen the lug nuts. Use the lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts on the wheel that you want to remove the rotor from. Do not remove the lug nuts completely.

2. Jack up the vehicle. Place a jack under the frame of the vehicle, near the wheel that you want to remove the rotor from. Jack up the vehicle until the tire is off the ground.

3. Remove the lug nuts and wheel. Use the lug wrench to remove the lug nuts and then pull the wheel off of the hub.

4. Remove the brake caliper. Use the 15/16" socket wrench to remove the two bolts that hold the brake caliper in place. Once the bolts are removed, pull the brake caliper off of the rotor.

5. Remove the rotor. Use the hammer and flat-headed screwdriver to pry the rotor off of the hub. Be careful not to damage the rotor or the hub.

6. Install the new rotor. Place the new rotor on the hub and then secure it with the lug nuts.

7. Install the brake caliper. Place the brake caliper back on the rotor and then secure it with the two bolts.

8. Lower the vehicle. Use the jack to lower the vehicle until the tire is on the ground.

9. Tighten the lug nuts. Use the lug wrench to tighten the lug nuts until they are snug.
