- Remove the installation tool once the repair coil is securely in place.
Step 4: Thread Cleaning and Lubrication:
- Clean the threads of the spark plug hole once more to ensure they're free of any debris or metal shavings from the tapping process.
- Apply a small amount of thread-locking compound to the threads of the spark plug.
Step 5: Install New Spark Plug:
- Install a new spark plug of the correct size and type for your engine.
- Hand-tighten the spark plug until it's snug against the cylinder head.
- Use a torque wrench to tighten the spark plug to the proper specification mentioned in your vehicle's owner's manual.
Step 6: Test and Repeat:
- Test the repair by starting the vehicle. Listen for any unusual noises or engine issues.
