1. Remove the serpentine belt.
2. Remove the oil filter.
3. Remove the oil pan.
4. Remove the crankshaft pulley bolt.
5. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry the crankshaft pulley off the crankshaft.
Here are the detailed instructions:
1. Remove the serpentine belt.
- Use a socket wrench to loosen the tensioner pulley bolt.
- Remove the serpentine belt from the pulleys.
2. Remove the oil filter.
- Use an oil filter wrench to loosen the oil filter.
- Remove the oil filter.
3. Remove the oil pan.
- Use a socket wrench to loosen the oil pan bolts.
- Remove the oil pan.
4. Remove the crankshaft pulley bolt.
- Use a breaker bar to loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt.
- Use a torque wrench to loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt completely.
5. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry the crankshaft pulley off the crankshaft.
- Insert the flathead screwdriver between the crankshaft pulley and the crankshaft.
- Pry the crankshaft pulley off of the crankshaft.
Tip: If the crankshaft pulley is difficult to remove, you can use a puller to remove it.
