- Unlock the car doors with the key or remote. This will disarm the alarm and allow you to enter the vehicle.
- Sit down in the driver's seat and close the door. Make sure all other doors and windows are also closed.
- Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the "II" position. This will turn on the electrical systems in the car.
- Press and hold the "Reset" button on the car alarm key fob. This button is usually located on the side of the key fob, near the battery compartment.
- Hold down the "Reset" button for about 10 seconds. The car alarm will chirp and the hazard lights will flash to indicate that the alarm has been reset.
- Release the "Reset" button and try to start the car. The car should now start normally.
Note: If the car alarm still does not reset after following these steps, there may be a problem with the alarm system itself. In this case, you will need to take your car to a certified Mercedes-Benz dealer or auto repair shop for diagnosis and repair.
