Tools Needed:
* Jack and jack stands
* Lug wrench
* Socket set
* Wrench set
* Phillips head screwdriver
* Flat head screwdriver
* Shock absorber spring compressor
Parts Needed:
* New rear shock absorbers (2)
* Shock absorber mounting hardware (bolts, nuts, and washers)
Instructions:
1. Park the car on a level surface. Engage the parking brake.
2. Loosen the lug nuts on the rear wheels, then raise the car with the jack and place jack stands under the rear axle. Remove the rear wheels.
3. Locate the upper shock mount inside the trunk. Remove the bolt that secures the shock mount to the shock absorber, then remove the nut that secures the shock mount to the body of the car.
4. Remove the lower shock bolt, located at the bottom of the shock absorber.
5. Use a shock absorber spring compressor to compress the spring on the shock absorber.
6. Remove the shock absorber from the car.
7. Install the new shock absorber in the reverse order of removal.
