1. Park your Ram on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Locate the spare tire, which is mounted underneath the rear of the truck.
3. Remove the hub cap from the spare tire by pry it off with a flat-head screwdriver.
4. Loosen the lug nuts on the spare tire with a lug wrench. Do not remove the lug nuts completely.
5. Place the lug wrench on the lug nut that is closest to the frame of the truck and turn it counterclockwise until the spare tire is loose.
6. Remove the spare tire from the truck by lifting it up and pulling it towards you.
7. Place the spare tire in a safe location.
8. Replace the hub cap on the lug nuts.
9. Tighten the lug nuts with a lug wrench until they are snug.
