Remove the wheels. Jack up the front of the car and support it on jack stands. Remove the lug nuts and pull off the wheels.
Remove the brake calipers. There are two bolts on the back of each caliper. Remove these bolts and lift off the calipers. Be careful not to let the calipers hang by the brake hoses.
Remove the old brake pads. There are two metal clips holding the brake pads in place. Pry these clips off using a flat-head screwdriver. Once the clips are removed, you can pull out the old brake pads.
Clean the brake caliper and rotor. Use a wire brush to clean the brake caliper and rotor. Remove any dirt or debris.
Install the new brake pads. Slide the new brake pads into the caliper. Make sure that the brake pads are seated properly in the caliper.
Install the brake caliper. Place the brake caliper back over the rotor and install the retaining bolts. Torque these bolts to the manufacturer's specifications.
Install the wheel and tire. Put the wheel and tire back on and replace the lug nuts. Tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern. Lower the car off the jack stands.
Test the brakes by driving the car slowly and applying the brakes. The brakes should feel firm and responsive. If you experience any problems, stop driving and have the brakes checked by a professional mechanic.
