How do you remove timing chain cover on 1990 Oldsmobile 98?

To remove the timing chain cover on a 1990 Oldsmobile 98, follow these steps:

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the air cleaner housing.

3. Remove the upper radiator hose.

4. Remove the serpentine belt tensioner and belt.

5. Remove the water pump pulley and crankshaft pulley.

6. Remove the harmonic balancer.

7. Remove the timing chain cover bolts.

8. Carefully pry the timing chain cover off of the engine block.

Be careful not to drop any of the bolts into the engine.
