1. Replacement wiper arm
2. 10 mm socket wrench
3. Flat-head screwdriver
4. New wiper blade (optional)
Instructions:
1. Park your vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake.
2. Locate the wiper arm that needs to be replaced. The wiper arm is the part of the wiper system that connects the wiper blade to the motor.
3. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry up the plastic cap on the end of the wiper arm. This cap covers the nut that holds the wiper arm in place.
4. Use the 10 mm socket wrench to loosen and remove the nut that holds the wiper arm in place. Be careful not to drop the nut.
5. Carefully lift the wiper arm off the splined shaft on the wiper motor.
6. If you are installing a new wiper blade, now is the time to do it. Simply press the new wiper blade into place on the wiper arm.
7. Reinstall the wiper arm by sliding it back onto the splined shaft on the wiper motor. Make sure that the wiper arm is seated properly.
8. Replace the nut and tighten it using the 10 mm socket wrench. Tighten the nut until it is snug.
9. Reinstall the plastic cap on the end of the wiper arm. Snap the cap into place.
10. Test the wiper arm to make sure that it is working properly. Turn on the windshield wipers and make sure that the wiper blade moves across the windshield smoothly.
