How do you replace fuel pump on 1999 Buick Centery?

Tools Needed:

Phillips Head Screwdriver

Flat Head Screwdriver

New Fuel Filter

Rags

A Funnel

Fuel Injector Cleaner

A Socket Wrench

Instructions

1.) Turn the car off and allow it to cool down.

2.) Lift the backseat. There are two clips that hold it down, one on each side. Gently pull the seat towards you and it will pop up.

3.) Locate the fuel pump access panel. It is located in the center of the trunk. There are four bolts that hold it down. Remove the bolts and lift the panel off.

4.) Remove the fuel line by pressing the release tab and pulling the line off.

5.) Remove the fuel filter. It is located on top of the fuel tank. There are two hoses connected to it. Remove the hoses and unscrew the filter.

6.) Install the new fuel filter by reversing the steps you took to remove the old filter.

7.) Reattach the fuel line.

8.)Replace the fuel pump access panel and the bolts.

9.) Replace the back seat.

10.) Start the car and let it run for a few minutes. Check for leaks.
