To remove the rear brake drums from a 1969 C-20, follow these steps:

1. Park the truck on a level surface and engage the parking brake.

2. Chock the front wheels to prevent the truck from rolling.

3. Loosen the lug nuts on the rear wheels, but do not remove them completely.

4. Use a jack to raise the rear of the truck until the rear wheels are off the ground.

5. Remove the lug nuts and wheels.

6. Remove the brake drum retaining screws. There are two screws, one located at the top and one at the bottom of the brake drum.

7. Pry the brake drum off the axle flange using a pry bar or large screwdriver.

Note: Be careful not to damage the brake drum or axle flange when prying off the brake drum.

8. Clean the brake drum and axle flange.

9. Reinstall the brake drum by positioning it over the axle flange and threading in the retaining screws.

10. Tighten the retaining screws until they are snug.

11. Reinstall the wheels and lug nuts.

12. Lower the truck to the ground.
