Instructions:
1. Park your van on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Jack up the rear of the van and place jack stands under the frame.
3. Install wheel chocks at the front wheels.
4. Remove the rear wheels.
5. Inspect the brake pads and rotors for wear. If they are worn, they will need to be replaced.
6. Locate the brake adjuster star wheel. It is located on the back of the brake backing plate.
7. Use a flathead screwdriver to turn the star wheel clockwise until the brakes start to drag.
8. Release the brakes and check the wheel for free play. There should be about 1/8-inch of free play.
9. If there is not enough free play, repeat step 7.
10. If there is too much free play, repeat step 6.
11. Reinstall the rear wheels.
12. Lower the van.
13. Test the brakes by applying them gently. The brakes should feel firm and stop the van smoothly.
Note: Adjusting the back brakes on a Ford E350 can be a tricky process. If you are not confident in your abilities, it is best to take your van to a qualified mechanic.
