How to remove steering wheel Chevrolet 2004 cavilier?

Tools needed:

* Torx T30 wrench

* Flat-head screwdriver

* Hammer

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to avoid any electrical accidents.

2. Turn the steering wheel until the Chevrolet emblem is facing up.

3. On both sides of the steering wheel, look for two black plastic covers that are situated just above the silver hub cover at the center.

4. Pry off these covers with the flat-head screwdriver, exposing two Torx T30 head bolts.

5. Use the T30 wrench to remove these two bolts.

6. Gently pry off the center silver cover, revealing the central nut that holds the steering wheel in place.

7. Use the T30 wrench to loosen the nut. Do not remove it entirely.

8. While applying firm pressure on the steering wheel, hit the centre of the steering wheel using a hammer. This should cause the steering wheel to pop out.

9. Once the steering wheel has been released, turn the ignition to the "ON" position and remove the key from the ignition. You should now be able to remove the steering wheel.

_Note: Ensure that you disconnect the negative battery terminal before beginning this process._
