1. Press the small button on the back of the key fob to release the key.
2. Hold the transmitter's base (A) in one hand, while pulling (B) the ring, towards you with your other hand. Remove the ring from the transmitter (C) and pull the transmitter out of the ring.
3. Pry open the case halves using a small, flat-head screwdriver.
4. Remove the old battery from inside the key fob.
5. Insert the new CR2016 3V battery into the key fob, ensuring that the positive (+) side of the battery is facing up.
6. Close the case halves and snap them back together.
7. Reattach the ring to the transmitter by pushing it into place.
