1. Locate the hidden emergency release lever. This lever is usually located on the right-hand side of the glove compartment, just below the hinge.
2. Using a thin, flat object such as a screwdriver, insert it into the slot on the lever and pull down. This will release the glove compartment door.
3. Once the door is open, you may need to remove some items from the compartment in order to access the latch mechanism.
4. Locate the latch mechanism. This is usually located on the left-hand side of the glove compartment. There will be a small lever or button that needs to be pushed or pulled in order to release the latch.
5. Push or pull the latch lever or button to release the glove compartment door.
6. Once the door is released, you can open it and access the contents.
